Students’ Council is currently organizing an election for our Executive Council, which will include Co-Presidents, a Student Senator, and a Head for each existing Committee. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role at Brookfield and want to have your say in school events and initiatives, then you should apply!
Timeline for the Election:

The positions up for election:
Co-Presidents
|
Leads council meetings, represents council, and oversees all committees
|
Student Senator
|
Represent Brookfield at OCDSB Student Senate Meetings
|
Head of Spirit
|
Lead committee that organizes spirit days and incentivizes students to participate
|
Head of Fundraising
|
Lead committee that fundraises money or collects items for our community
|
Head of Contests
|
Lead committee that creates contests, determines prizes and selects winners
|
Head of Communication
|
Lead committee that spreads the word about Students’ Council initiatives
|
Head of Broadcasting
|
Lead committee that creates video and/or podcast to inform students of school events
|
To apply for an executive position, you must submit a video to Ms. MacLean by Tuesday October 20th at 3:00pm that is approximately 1 minute long.
Your video should meet the following criteria:
- Introduce yourself with your grade and the position you are running for
- Set achievable goals for this year that benefit the entire school community
- Demonstrate your commitment to equity, inclusion and diversity
- Explain how your experiences make you the best candidate for the position
